Improved Racing - Factory oil cooler delete kit, 2012-2015 Camaro SS, C7 Corvette
The factory oil cooler on some 5th generation V8 Camaros (2012-2015 model years only) and C6 (2012-2013 model years only) Corvettes use engine coolant to cool the oil. This configuration can lead to insufficient oil cooling at the track or during spirited driving. The solution is to de-couple the oil cooling circuit from the engine coolant circuit and cool the oil with an air-to-oil cooler instead.
Improved Racing has assembled kits with the parts required to delete the factory water-to-oil cooler. The water to oil cooler can also be eliminated to simplify your street vehicle that may not need an oil cooler at all. This can also be useful for engine swaps that don't have provisions for a water-to-oil cooler.
The Air-to-Oil Upgrade Kit comes with everything needed to cap-off the radiator hose barb fitting and plug the engine block coolant passage used by the factory cooler. Please note an oil cooler adapter, lines, and an oil cooler will be required to complete the upgrade (sold seaprately).
To completely delete all oil cooling, add the optional Cooler Delete Kit. This kit includes an Improved Racing oil pan bypass cover plate (options with and without sensor ports are available). Please note: This option is considered a downgrade and is not recommended for vehicles that will see spirited use.

- 1 x 3/4'' ID Rubber Coolant Barb Cap.
- 1 x Worm-Drive Clamp.
- 1 x PLM-M28 - M28 x 1.25 mm Coolant Plug, better than OEM Part # 11611351 & 12561663.
Cooler Delete Kit Includes
- LS Pan Oil Bypass Cover (choose blank, with sensor ports, or with sensor ports plus -8 ORB port).
- LS Pan Oil Bypass Cover gasket.
- 2 x flanged mounting screws.
Full Delete Kit
- Puchase both kits mentioned above.
NOTE: To completely delete oil cooling, you must purchase BOTH kits.
