Improved Racing - CCS oil catch can bottom cap with -6 ORB drain port
- Add a drain port to your 7 fl oz or 3.5 fl oz CCS oil catch can by replacing the bottom cap with this drain cap.
- Fits only Gen 2 modular catch cans with the removable bottom cap.
- Features a -6 female O-ring boss port for a drain line connection.
This kit includes a bottom cap with a -6 female O-ring boss port and a replacement O-ring. Please note that only our Gen 2 CCS catch cans have the modular, removable bottom cap. If you have a Gen 1 can with a one-piece reservoir, contact us to purchase a Gen 2 reservoir. See the photos below to identify your catch can.
Replacing the cap is easy:
- Pry up the retaining ring on the bottom of the can with a plastic prying tool and remove.
- Push the bottom cap out from the inside of the can.
- Replace the O-ring seal if necessary.
- Lubricate the O-ring seal with engine oil.
- Install the new cap by pressing down on the center the cap. Ensure the O-ring seal does not get pinched.
- Reinstall the retaining ring by walking it into the ring gland.
How to Identify Your Catch Can
Gen 1 catch cans have a one-piece reservoir (shown on left, below). Gen 2 cans have a two-piece reservoir with a removable bottom cap (shown on the right, below).
